Blog: Developed Nations versus Underdeveloped Nations

Rosling compares the developed world and the developing world. By looking at the facts, we are able to see that child mortality rates in poorer countries have been steadily decreasing over the past 50 years. Now, those so-called developing countries are almost equal to the numbers of the wealthier nations. The blog says that in 2030, there will be no difference.

  • Consumes fewer raw materials and energy resources than heavy industry and capital goods industry.
  • Is generally less contaminating, but modifies natural space because it is centrated in specific areas.
  • Usually located near cities and transport links.
  • Its size can vary a lot.
